NAGAAD Project – Banaadir Regional Administration (BRA)
The NAGAAD Project is a community-focused development initiative implemented by the Banaadir Regional Administration (BRA) to strengthen local governance, improve service delivery, and promote social stability and inclusive development within Banaadir Region. The project supports coordinated interventions that enhance community resilience, institutional capacity, and citizen participation in local development processes.
Project Purpose
The primary objective of the NAGAAD Project is to improve the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of essential public services while fostering good governance, social cohesion, and sustainable urban development across districts of Banaadir Region.
Key Components
Strengthening Local Governance and Institutions
Capacity building for district administrations and local institutions to improve planning, coordination, accountability, and service delivery.Community Engagement and Social Cohesion
Promotion of inclusive community participation, dialogue, and collaboration between citizens and local authorities to enhance trust and peaceful coexistence.Basic Service Delivery Support
Improvement of priority public services such as sanitation, primary health care, education, and community infrastructure at district and community levels.Youth and Women Empowerment
Support for youth and women through skills development, livelihoods initiatives, and civic engagement activities to promote economic inclusion and social stability.Urban Resilience and Environmental Management
