The RAJO KAAB Project is a resilience and livelihoods development initiative implemented by the Banaadir Regional Administration (BRA) to strengthen household self-reliance, promote sustainable income opportunities, and reduce dependency on humanitarian assistance among vulnerable communities in Banaadir Region.
The primary objective of the RAJO KAAB Project is to support poor and vulnerable households—particularly youth, women, and internally displaced persons—by enhancing their productive capacities, livelihoods, and resilience to economic and social shocks.
Productive Livelihoods Support
Provision of livelihood packages, productive assets, or start-up support to enable beneficiaries to engage in sustainable income-generating activities.
Skills Development and Entrepreneurship
Delivery of vocational skills training, entrepreneurship development, and business management support aligned with local market opportunities.
Community-Based Targeting and Inclusion
Transparent and participatory identification of beneficiaries in collaboration with district administrations and community committees to ensure equity and inclusion.
Coaching, Mentorship, and Follow-Up
Ongoing technical support, coaching, and monitoring to strengthen beneficiary success and sustainability of livelihoods.
Social Cohesion and Community Engagement
Promotion of community participation, collaboration, and peaceful coexistence through inclusive project activities.
Coordination and Institutional Strengthening
Strengthening coordination between BRA departments, district authorities, and partners to ensure effective delivery and alignment with broader resilience strategies.
